Rehearsal Dinner

A friend asked me to make a cake for her brother's rehearsal dinner. The wedding colors were black, white, and red. She was planning on decorating for the dinner with gerber daisies, so we decided I'd leave the top of the cake open for her to add some flowers.

Happy Birthday Mom

My mom had shared a recipe for a Red Velvet cake that sounded good, so I decided to surprise her with it for her birthday. Since we were celebrating on Easter, I made it very "springy" with flowers and butterflies.

Luck Be A Lady

For my sister-in-law's 30th birthday, she had a 20's casino party and since her birthday falls on St. Patrick's Day, my brother-in-law decided on a slot machine with four-leaf clovers and "Luck be a Lady" integrated into the cake.

Onesie

For this baby shower, the invitation was a onesie with "baby" across the chest. I made the cake to match the invitation, but put the baby's name on it to add a personal touch.

Princesses

Since my daughter was into Disney princesses, I gave her a Princess castle cake for her third birthday. The accents are plastic toys, but the cake was carved from a sheet cake and the piping was done in buttercream.

Taking the Plunge

We threw a wedding shower for a friend, and the theme was "They're Taking the Plunge." Everything was decorated with leis, grass skirts, and flowers, so I made the cake with fondant hibiscuses.

Peas in a Pod

I was honored to be able to make this cake for a baby shower for twins.

Baby Shower

This cake was for a baby shower and was designed to match the party decorations.

Picnic Party

For our oldest daughter's second birthday, we wanted to have a picnic party at a local park. I had a vision for this cake, so I took a couple of cake classes and was hooked! This was my first attempt with fondant and stacking. Actually, other than the class cakes, this was my first decorated cake!
