Athena's Shower

My mother and I had the honor of throwing a baby shower for my sister-in-law and my soon-to-be niece.  

My mom is very talented at making and decorating cookies, so she made these adorable onesie cookies to hand out as favors.  

Ladybug Ladybug

For our "Katie-bug's" 2nd birthday, we went with a ladybug theme. 

Slumber Party

I think the main trait my daughter inherited from me is the love to plan parties.  She had been planning her 5th birthday party for over six months, and the two things she really wanted were a slumber party and a "bride" cake.  She had seen a picture of a cake made with this doll and decided she wanted this "princess bride" for her party.  

Instead of trying to cut the cake for the guests, we also had the princess cupcakes that you can see on the side.

Cheeseburger

My brother-in-law requested this cupcake for a co-worker.  She has never had a hamburger before, so he thought it would be fun to give her this for her birthday.

Dinosaurs

My first Cricut cake!  My aunt requested a cake for a baby shower and said the mom-to-be was doing the room in burnt orange, but no longhorns.  So, I decided to go with a dinosaur theme.  I had so much fun experimenting with my new toy!

I did this cake for a sweet co-worker's baby shower.  These are the colors she used for the baby's room.

My grandmother requested a cake for her cousin's 80th birthday.

Baby's 1st Birthday

It's been a while since I've been asked to make any cakes, but it looks like cake season is starting up again! Cars and trucks were the theme for this little boy's 1st birthday party, so I made fondant vehicles in the shape of a "1" to coordinate with his invitations.
